November 14, 2017 at Austin Central Library, Austin Public Library, 710 W. Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas 78701

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN VENUE! We will be meeting in Shared Learning Room #621 at the new downtown library.

We will be discussing Juan Gonzalez’s newest book, “Reclaiming Gotham”. The long-time co-host of Democracy Now and outstanding journalist begins with an examination of how Bill De Blasio and the leaders of other cities are part of a movement to end America’s “tale of two cities”.

Austin’s own Greg Casar got Gonzalez’s attention. We hope to explore how this book is relevant to the more equitable, just, and low-carbon economy we want to see in Austin.

We will divide the discussion across two meetings, so come prepared to talk about Chapters 1 – 5 on November 14.

PARKING: The library garage is $5 for 2 hours; $7 for more than 2 hours. Bus stops nearby. CARPOOL (minivan) from Bobbie Tsukahara home in Mueller. PM her for details.
